Isle of Wight Festival of Running

The Isle of Wight Festival of Running is a three day event designed with the whole family in mind.

Whether you have just taken up running with a Couch to 5k programme, looking a marathon or half marathon that combines stunning scenery and a challenging course or want to push yourself to the limit with a half iron distance triathlon – we have a race for you!

Plus there is onsite camping and access to all the facilities the Sports Centre has to offer!

But don’t take our word for it. Here are just some of the comments from the first Isle of Wight Festival of Running:

“An awesome weekend that is a must in the calendar for any lover of running. A great variety of events, hosted be the very hospitable West Wight Sports team. Brilliant setting, yummy food, easy camping and a wonderful way to inspire more people into sport. Can’t wait until 2018.”

“Challenging but absolutely stunning half marathon. Highly recommend this low key, genuine and unique weekend. Loved the camping and the fun run too. Fantastic value.”

“Without a doubt the most beautiful, scenic race I have ever done! Thank you so much to all the wonderfully supportive marshals along the way and for organising this superb event. Being able to have a free swim afterwards was the icing on the cake! I will definitely be back again next year!”

“The marathon is the toughest cross country marathon, including some in the Alps, I have ever ran; a superb scenic and challenging route to test all competitors.

The sun came out for the Needles XC Marathon 2017 and set the scene for what I consider to be the most beautiful marathon (or perhaps race of any distance) that I’ve ever ran.”
