We have added two girls football sessions for 8-11’s to our Summer activity programme.

Former Captain and current Coach of the Isle of Wight Ladies’ Representative Football Squad and FA qualified football coach, Shannon Kilcullen, will be coaching the sessions.

Football is the biggest women’s team sport in England and the national team have inspired the nation to get involved in women’s and girls football with their recent success at the European Championships, winning the tournament by beating Germany at Wembley Stadium in front of over 87,000 fans. We want to encourage girls to give the game a go and are offering the opportunity through two sessions this August. Whether playing football for the first time, or already playing at school or elsewhere, these girls’ football sessions will coach and develop all players in the core skills of the game. The sessions will focus on technique and each of the sessions will concentrate on different elements of the game, from defending to attacking, passing to dribbling, shooting to goalkeeping.

Sessions are guaranteed to be great fun as the girls learn through play, increase in confidence and have a great opportunity to make new friends too.

Sessions take place Wednesday 24th and Wednesday 31st August 2022, 9.30-11.00; and cost £5.50.
