England number 1 pickleball player, Thaddea Lock, returned to the Centre last weekend to give coaching to some of our members.
Following an intensive 2 days coaching Thaddea commented:
“I had a great weekend visiting The Isle of Wight to run some coaching sessions. Simon Proffitt has done an extraordinary job of setting up pickleball on the Island and continues to dedicate so much time to ensure it keeps growing. I love coming over and helping the players to improve, everyone is so friendly, welcoming and keen to learn. West Wight sports centre is a brilliant facility and a key component in allowing the sport to flourish on the Island. I can’t wait to come back soon and feel really lucky to be able to be a small part of pickleball on The Isle of Wight.”
Thank you to Thaddea for coming over to the Centre and to Simon for organising.
