We are delighted to work in partnership with Freshwater Parish Council to provide information and support to the local community as well as an online information hub.
- Where can I access local information or services?
- Where can I get support with form filling?
- Where can I get help accessing the internet?
- What’s going on in my local community?
To answer all these questions and more is Mel Gardiner, the Just Ask Support Officer.
If you need free, confidential information or support you can talk to Mel during her drop in sessions in our cafe. Her hours are:
10am – 11.30am – Monday, Wednesday,
2.30pm – 4pm – Tuesday, Thursday
Mel is also available at the Our Place session in the Community Centre on Tuesdays morning between 10.30am and 12noon.
Mel can provide information a wide range of local activities, community groups and events. As well as support, signposting and referrals to access local authority, housing and care services.
An online information hub is now available in our café.
The laptop links directly to a number of services including council tax and benefits, housing and money advice and jobs. You can use it to pay IW Council bills or access NHS websites.
You can use the laptop at any time, or Mel is on hand during her drop in sessions if you need help using the computer.
