Solent Swim 2025 is cancelled
We are so very sorry and utterly heartbroken to have to inform you that this year’s swim has been cancelled.
We have made the extremely difficult decision today in consultation with our safety support team – including kayak lead, Freshwater lifeboat and the lead boat skipper. The decision is based on the wind and weather forecast. We know that the swimmers will be incredibly disappointed. But of course we are putting safety above everything else.
What happens now
Sadly, there are no more suitable tidal conditions for the rest of the summer which leaves us with no other option but to cancel completely.
We know there may be questions around money raised and places. If we could ask you to leave them for next week, we would be grateful. We will be in touch with all swimmers
All involved should have received an email by now.
All swimmers have automatically been transferred to next year. The dates are Saturday July 25th with a back up of Sunday July 26th.
