Thaddea Lock, England’s number 1 Pickleball player, paid a visit to the Centre last weekend to coach some of the top Pickleball players on the Island.
Simon Proffitt, who organised the session said, “Not only is Thaddea an outstanding player, winning 4 gold medals at the English Nationals, she is an outstanding coach, and, everyone taking part benefited from her coaching skills, as well as making it enjoyable.”
Thaddea added, ”I had an incredible few days on the Isle of Wight; it was so great to meet and work with the players who have built an amazing Pickleball community and play to a fantastic level. We combined having fun with learning and most importantly for me, making new friends, which is what Pickleball is all about .West Wight Sports Centre is a fantastic facility and I can’t wait to come back!”
