Sunday 4th June

Needles Junior Fun Run – In 2016 more than 200 young runners took to the fields next to the Centre. From superheros to pirates and princesses every one is a winner, taking home a medal and certificate. New for 2017, we will be introducing a 2 lap course for the older children.

Needles XC Half Marathon – It is one of the toughest and most scenic half marathons in the country. The 13.1 mile course will take you over downs and heathland, past historic monuments and of course you’ll glimpse the most iconic landmark on the Isle of Wight – The Needles.

Needles XC Marathon – If you are a veteran of the Needles Half Marathon and want to try a new challenge, or if you are looking for a marathon that will push you to your limits, then you will want to enter the first Needles XC Marathon. The first part of the course will take in the Half Marathon route, then you split off at Freshwater Bay and make your way along the ups and downs of the famous Tennyson Trail before heading back to Freshwater. It’s not a race for the faint hearted!
