ARE YOU READY FOR A LANDMARK CHALLENGE?
The Isle of Wight Festival of Running is a brand new sporting event to the Isle of Wight!
It has been designed with the whole family in mind, with races and activities everyone can enjoy. There are fun runs for the youngsters. Picturesque races for fans of the Couch to 5k and 5k to 10k programmes. Experienced runners looking for a course that challenges them to their limits, will not want to miss out on the stunning cross country routes of the Needles Half and full marathons. There is even an exilarating half iron man distance event for triathletes.
Even if you don’t run at all, you can still enjoy all the fun and entertainment in the festival village and a classic film showing
Festival Village – This will be open throughout the weekend, with lots of fun activities, entertainment, and stalls.

Needles Junior Fun Run – In 2016 more than 200 young runners took to the fields next to the Centre. From superheros to pirates and princesses every one is a winner, taking home a medal and certificate. New for 2017, we will be introducing a 2 lap course for the older children.
Needles XC Half Marathon – It is one of the toughest and most scenic half marathons in the country. The 13.1 mile course will take you over downs and heathland, past historic monuments and of course you’ll glimpse the most iconic landmark on the Isle of Wight – The Needles.
Needles XC Marathon – If you are a veteran of the Needles Half Marathon and want to try a new challenge, or if you are looking for a marathon that will push you to your limits, then you will want to enter the first Needles XC Marathon.
