 Chessell Chase

Off Road Run and Cycle from Chessell Pottery Café.

The event is organised by West Wight Sports & Community Centre, hosted by Chessell Pottery Cafe, and sponsored by Adrian’s Bike Shop. The race involves a run (approx 3 miles ) followed by a cycle (approx 4 miles) both starting and finishing at Chessell Pottery Cafe.

New for 2020 is the Chessell Chase series – take part in all  four races or just individual races. 

Dates:

Saturday 14 March, 1000am – March Madness

  • Registration: open from 0900
  • Bike Transition area: open from 0900 (bikes are left at your own risk)
  • Pre Race Briefing: 0945

Saturday 2 May, 1000am – May Mettle

  • Registration: open from 0900
  • Bike Transition area: open from 0900 (bikes are left at your own risk)
  • Pre Race Briefing: 0945

Friday 26 June, 1900 – Midsummer Scorcher

  • Registration: open from 1730
  • Bike Transition area: open from 1730 (bikes are left at your own risk)
  • Pre Race Briefing: 1845

Friday 21 August, 1900 – Summer Stamina

  • Registration: open from 1730
  • Bike Transition area: open from 1730 (bikes are left at your own risk)
  • Pre Race Briefing: 1845

Information:

Cost (online): £10.00 Solo and £15.00 Team

(Online Entries for March Madness will close at 2200 on Friday 13 March) 

Cost (on the day): £15.00 Solo and £20.00 Team

Minimum Age: 16 years

Entertainment: There will be live entertainment at Chessell Pottery on the night.

Food: Food will be served during the night with a special menu in place.

Prize: This is intended to be a fun race and prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd Man and Woman and the 1st Team plus a momento for everyone taking part. The final race will finish with a special prizegiving for the overall Series.

Race Route: Click Here (both run & bike routes can be seen by selecting the grey drop down on the top right of the map). Please note that the route could be subject to change at any time but the distance will remain. 

Additional Information: Personal belongings can be left with the registration team at Chessell Pottery once registered. First Aid will be available during the time of the race. Car parking is available at Chessell Pottery. The route will be marked and signposted and marshalled at the start and finish. Adrian from Adrian’s bike shop will be on hand on the day for any last minute bike emergencies.
