After the tremendous success of our ‘VOTE WEST WIGHT’ campaign when we won funding from the Big Lottery, we are now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated C.O.O.K. PROJECT COORDINATOR – Creating Opportunities in Our Kitchen

You will be required to:

  • work with other centre staff to recruit volunteers and trainees to the project
  • ensure that volunteers are provided with opportunities that match their abilities within our catering environment
  • develop individual training and development plans for each new volunteer and also those already recruited
  • support individuals in their training or ensure they are adequately and suitably supported by other staff

You will be working with our existing catering team to offer a range of opportunities to people from a range of backgrounds. The COOK Project aims to help people to overcome challenges in their lives.

We require an experienced person to take on the role of CATERING SUPERVISOR

You will be required to:

  • ensure our cafe is operated within all current food hygiene and health and safety laws
  • manage a small team of staff and volunteers
  • be responsible for ordering and stock control
  • work with the Centre Manager to maintain the cafe as a financially viable element of the Centre’s operation
  • work with the C.O.O.K. Project Coordinator to ensure that the volunteers and trainees are adequately supported

You should be flexible and prepared to cover staff absence whilst maintaining a supervisory role. You will be working with other members of the staff team, in the Centre’s developing event programme.

If you’d like to join our team, please get in touch by emailing the Centre Manager: clare.griffin@westwight.org.uk
